Dear NightFall Astrology readers,
Is your soul starting to blossom with the infusion of Aries’ burgeoning fire? Sparks are being ignited bit by bit as we’ve officially started the astrological new year with the spring equinox. If you haven’t been feeling much fired up, that’s because we still have three fast-moving/personal planets in Aquarius (Venus and Mars) and Pisces (Mercury). These are the last two signs of the zodiac, and thus, their energy is the most difficult to grasp and understand and the most contradictory.
Aquarius is the sign pushing us to think outside of the box, look at the world and society with a new perspective, and choose our place in this fast-changing Universe. Pisces is the sign of unconditional love, compassion, empathy, charity and helping those in need, artistic inspiration, but it’s also the sign of fear, illusion, deception, and escapism. It would be beneficial for all of us to take over our worries, avoid judging situations and people through a dogmatic lens, and be careful with misinformation until the end of the month.
Here’s your weekly horoscope.
1. The Mercury/Jupiter/Neptune conjunction and Saturn becoming visible:
a) The Mercury/Jupiter and Mercury/Neptune conjunctions:
From March 21st until March 26th (exact on March 21st and March 23rd), Mercury will conjoin Jupiter and Neptune in their home sign of Pisces, respectively.
This marks an inflow of faith, optimism and inspiration into our minds.
On the positive side, the Mercury/Jupiter conjunction is favourable for optimistic and expansive thinking, business and commercial activities, making long-term plans, international travel (especially overseas), foreign affairs and diplomacy. This transit enables us to see the bigger picture and opens us up to new ideas and different perspectives. It can also improve our organisational abilities, awaken a desire to teach or take up a new course alongside higher ideals and a stronger sense of justice.
Adding Neptune to the game makes it excellent for creative hobbies and interests, photography, images, advertising, poetry, arts, music, literature, inspirational writing or speaking; influencing others through subtle, emotionally infused or psychological approaches; communicating on sentimental or emotional subjects, healing conversations; and walks in nature or near water.
On the negative side, these two conjunctions can give a tendency to overlook more minor details, become too self-righteous, and be over-optimistic in our plans or promises. It can also overstimulate our minds leading to foggy thinking, misinformation, miscommunication, gossip, and messed up travel plans.
These transits will be most supportive of Pisces, Scorpio, Cancer, Taurus, and Capricorn.
Virgo, Gemini and Sagittarius should watch out for their negative influences, especially regarding heightened levels of anxiety, hasty/impulsive decisions, and sleep difficulties.
b) Saturn becomes visible:
Thankfully, we’ll be getting some stabilising and grounding energy to balance all that expansive imagination and illusion brought by the abovementioned triple conjunction in dreamy Pisces. Also, on March 21st, Saturn becomes visible to the naked eye as an Evening Star. Saturn is currently transiting Aquarius (its second home sign), where it’s powerful, so all Saturn-related activities (building, structuring, organising, taking precautions) are supported.
A week before and after Saturn becomes visible, Saturn-ruled people (Capricorns and Aquariuses) and activities get a new start, opportunities, and manifestations.
2. The Mars/Uranus square:
Try as you may to keep things “peace, love and harmony,” brace yourself for combat this Tuesday, March 22nd, as angry Mars crashes into a complicated square (challenging aspect) with combustible Uranus. This 90-degree mashup only happens 1-2 times each year and can cause quite the disruption. With both planets in stubborn, fixed signs—Mars in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus—tempers may flare as egos and ideologies clash. But, hey, sometimes you have to stand your ground.
If you’ve been a little TOO agreeable for your own good, the Mars/Uranus square can push you to your breaking point. Forget about sucking it up and “taking one for the team.” This isn’t the day to accept peace at any price! But if you’re feeling too heated to hash things out diplomatically, steer clear of situations that are potential powder kegs. This might be a better day for privately clarifying your anger…but NOT attempting to hold a summit between warring factions. However, if you’re able to approach the matter with a cooler head, this transit can inspire some eye-opening dialogues.
This transit’s energy will be active from March 21st until March 25th.
Aquarius, Taurus, Leo, and Scorpio will be most challenged by this square.
3. The Mercury/Pluto sextile:
The week might have started with go-with-the-flow energy that has been disrupted by the Mars/Uranus square, but we’ll still be able to end it with some intense concentration giving us the opportunity to get to the bottom of things.
From March 25th until March 27th (exact on March 26th), Mercury in Pisces will sextile (positive aspect) Pluto in Capricorn. Put your detective cap on and get ready to dive deep into hidden agendas, secrets, forbidden or psychological matters, and the occult! A word of caution, though: the info won’t be handed to you; you’ll have to get your hands dirty and look for it!
This transit is also very favourable for meaningful conversations, all business activities or negotiations, especially those related to mutual/shared resources, travel arrangements, and a strengthened intuition.
Capricorn, Taurus, Virgo, Scorpio, and Pisces will benefit from this transit the most.
4. Mercury enters Aries:
This Sunday, March 27th, expressive Mercury glides into agile Aries, turning us all into silver-tongued devils until April 10th. No spacing out allowed! You could miss the punch line or get taken for a ride by a charming salesperson. If you’re the type that hates small talk, get over it. Everyone’s attention span will be short for the rest of March—and a witty one-liner will make a more substantial impact than a long and meandering tale. Break everything down into bullet points and prepare your elevator speech for maximum returns. What would you say if you only had one minute to state your case? New friendships and flirtations will pop up like spring crocuses, but don’t order those matching heart-shaped lockets for a few more weeks. These flash fires may fizzle as fast as they sizzle.
Your favourite date while Mercury sails through Aries may be with “me, myself and I.” Inspired bursts of brilliance could pop up if you sit quietly, without the distraction of devices. But do keep a capture tool handy so you don’t lose those gems. When with others, try to keep your argumentative streak in check. When tempers start flaring, call a timeout! Debates could heat up quickly with combative Mercury in Aries—and go from friendly dialogue to heated, bridge-burning exchanges.
Mercury’s transit through feisty and passionate Aries will be most auspicious for Aries, Leo, Sagittarius, Gemini, and Aquarius.
“Courage is a kind of salvation.”
Ride this week’s cosmic roller coaster like a boss!
