It signifies the conclusion of a cycle or the celebration of an event.

This particular full moon features the sun in the first decan of Gemini, the initial third, which is ruled by Jupiter. This section of the sky is partly governed by Jupiter. Gemini itself is ruled by Mercury, the planet of communication, details, and specifics. Thus, the myriad of options may be overwhelming, leaving one feeling constrained and unable to decide. Meanwhile, the moon resides in the first decan of Sagittarius, which is ruled by Mercury. This full moon will be felt most intensely by Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces placements, particularly if you have planets and/or important chart points around 2 degrees of these signs (give or take 1-5 degrees).

II. Sun, Venus & Jupiter enter Gemini:

On May 20th, the Sun bids farewell to the steady, grounded energy of Taurus and steps into the dynamic, ever-curious realm of Gemini. This transition marks a period characterised by a heightened desire for communication, versatility, and intellectual exploration. The Sun in Gemini signals a time when curiosity is at its peak, and the need to gather information and share ideas becomes paramount. The most significant event of the week occurs on May 25th, when Jupiter, the greater benefic, leaves Taurus and enters Gemini. Jupiter’s transit through Gemini will last until June 9th, 2025, marking a substantial shift in the celestial landscape. To gain insights into what this period might herald, think back to the last time Jupiter was in Gemini, from June 11th, 2012, to June 25th, 2013.

Jupiter’s presence in Gemini signals a time of expansive learning, exploration, and growth through communication. This transit suggests an amplified thirst for knowledge and an eagerness to engage with diverse perspectives. The themes of education, travel, and intellectual pursuits are highlighted, indicating a period where opportunities for mental and experiential expansion abound. However, it is important to note that Jupiter is in its exile in Gemini. In astrological terms, a planet is in exile when it is in the sign opposite to the one it rules. Jupiter rules Sagittarius, and thus its placement in Gemini, Sagittarius’s opposite sign, indicates a condition of exile. This suggests that Jupiter’s expansive and benevolent qualities may not express themselves as easily or comfortably as they would in Sagittarius. Instead, the influence of Jupiter in Gemini might manifest in a more scattered or diluted manner, requiring more effort to harness its potential benefits.
