If there was a week where, against all odds, emotions meet the rational mind and have the potential to work well together, then this is the one!
- We’re starting the week with 3 planets in Pisces (the most emotional, imaginative, spiritual, dreamy, musical sign): the Sun, Venus, and Neptune. This is wonderful energy for any artistic and creative projects, infusing relationships (love, friendship, family) with empathy and compassion. This a perfect alignment for the water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) and part of the earth signs (Taurus and Capricorn). For Virgos, this might be a confusing period as Pisces is their opposite sign. Nonetheless, I suspect Virgos have had quite a fruitful full moon in their sign (which happened last week on February 27th). Geminis and Sagittariuses should be careful with their communications and be mindful of any important decision-making.
- On March 2nd, Mercury (the planet of communication and mental processes) will be trining (harmonious aspect) exactly the North Node in Gemini. This is a great time for heightened concentration, information exchange, fact-checking/truth-seeking, negotiating, and any communication. We shouldn’t rush in these areas, though, and always double-check any information/contracts we share, receive or sign until March 13th (Mercury comes out of its shadow zone on this date).
- On March 3rd, Venus in Pisces will be sextiling (harmonious aspect) Uranus in Taurus. Venus is exalted in Pisces, so everything she represents is boosted in this sign: money, relationships, art, luxury are at the forefront of this transit. This can bring the opportunity for sudden innovation/events in financial and material matters (yes, cryptocurrency is concerned by this transit). Venus’s biggest boost will be occurring on March 26th, though, when Venus will be Cazimi (exact conjunction) with the Sun. I’ll be discussing this aspect in more detail in my horoscope covering that week.
- On March 5th, Mars leaves the fixed earth sign of Taurus and enters the mutable air sign of Gemini. Mars (the planet of action, drive and ambition) is more agile in Gemini since it naturally rules Aries (a fire sign). The elements of Air and Fire are compatible. We’re done with the dullness of Taurus (Mars is in detriment in this sign). So if you’ve been feeling stopped in your tracks for the past 7 weeks, this is the time to get into action again and make the best of this energy that will continue until April 3rd, when Mars will enter Cancer. Mars in Gemini is more mentally oriented, more curious, likes to gather information. On the more negative side, it can cause mental spirals, anxiety, and a scattered focus (think of the 9 of swords card in Tarot, see the image below).
This is a particularly beneficial transit for the Air signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) and some of the fire signs (Aries and Leo). Virgos, Sagittariuses and Pisces should be wary of any hasty decisions.
Also, on March 5th, the Sun in Pisces will be squaring (90° angle and a tense aspect) the North Node in Gemini. This may cause some mental fogginess. Again, thinking things through and avoiding overreactions in our communications and how we receive and process information are advised.
- From March 3rd till March 6th, Mercury will be conjoining (0° angle and the most potent aspect in astrology) Jupiter (the planet of expansion, international travel and matters, good fortune, Law, politics, religion, ideologies, foreign languages) in Aquarius (the sign of innovation, originality, rebellion, higher intellect, freedom, independence, humanity). This is the 3rd time these 2 planets conjoin (they’ve already met on January 11th and February 14th). This astrological event brings an explosion of benefic energy for communications, negotiations, trade, innovative ideas. It also brings to light all kinds of information for the greater use and good of humanity. Since I’m based in France, I can tell you that we definitely started the week with a bang with former French President, Nicolas Sarkozy, getting convicted this Monday, March 1st, for corruption. This is the kind of information linked to the Law and Justice (ruled by Jupiter) revealed/highlighted by this type of energy.
On the flip side, rebellious opinions and positions in our own lives and the world can become magnified. My advice is to use this transit for innovative projects, public speaking, closing deals, negotiations, and communications in general. Don’t fall into the lower manifestations of Aquarius: rebelling for the sake of it. Be smart about it. This alignment is beneficial for the Air signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) and the fire signs of Aries and Sagittarius. The fixed signs of Scorpio, Leo and Taurus, should remain cautious of being over-optimistic about their persuasion capabilities.
Jupiter is also the dispositing planet of the above-mentioned 3 planets in Pisces (Jupiter is this sign’s traditional ruler), hence the potential to find a way to reconcile our emotions/imagination/creativity and our communication/mental processes.
Wishing you a productive week,
