My dear Universal Truth Seekers!
Here we are again! It’s eclipse week! Are you ready to start major new chapters in your lives?
The star event of the week is the solar eclipse in 19° of Gemini, happening on June 10th, at 12:52 PM (CET). Solar eclipses are new moons on steroids; they’re all about major new beginnings in our lives. However, since it’s an eclipse, meaning that the Sun will be hidden/become dark for a few minutes, whatever we’re starting at this time, might not be obvious right away. This eclipse will have long-lasting effects on our lives individually and collectively (up to 6 months).
The eclipse will be visible from most of Europe (with Austria being the most exposed to it with the Sun being blocked by the Moon at 65%), the USA and Canada. Its centre will be first touching down on Earth at 09:55 UT1 in Ontario along the north shore of Lake Superior. The central line duration of annularity here is 3 minute 37 seconds. Racing across Hudson Bay, the antumbra crosses northwest Quebec and Hudson Strait before entering Baffin Island. Here the shadow encounters Iqaluit, the capital of the Canadian territory of Nunavut. The duration of annularity in the capital city is 3 minutes 5 seconds with the Sun 18° above the eastern horizon.
The shadow’s trajectory takes it across the Baffin Bay and the remote northwest corner of Greenland. The greatest eclipse occurs at 10:41:56 UT1 in Nares Strait between Greenland and Ellesmere Island. The central duration of annularity is 3 minutes 51 seconds, the Sun’s altitude is 23°, and the path width is 527 kilometres.
Curving north, the path crosses Ellesmere Island and the Arctic Ocean. The North Pole lies off the central line but well within the path and experiences an annular duration of 2 minutes 36 seconds with the Sun 23° above the horizon.
After crossing the pole, the antumbra heads south and reaches northeast Siberia. The central path ends here at 11:29 UT1 as the antumbra reaches Earth’s terminator and returns to space. Over the course of 1 hour and 38 minutes, the Moon’s antumbra travels along a 7,775-kilometre-long path covering 0.91% of Earth’s surface area. See the image down below for a detailed illustration of the eclipse’s path.
Numerologically, 19° of Gemini reduces to 10 and then to 1 and represents the Sun, new beginnings, our vitality, willpower and consciousness. Gemini is the energy of the twins and siblings. Gemini identifies with the world by treating others as siblings. Something in our everyday life, mind, how we conceptualise a situation will be seen differently. With this eclipse, we’ll be having a triple dose of Gemini energy since its dispositing/ruling planet, Mercury retrograde, will be in conjunction with it. In all cases, our new beginnings will be linked to our perception, our thinking patterns, our communications and our immediate environment.
On April 6th, Mars was on that eclipse point (19° of Gemini), and Mars is known for activating eclipses’ energy whenever it aspects their degrees. Think back to that week and what was happening in your life then. It will guide you on what is being unravelled by this solar eclipse. On May 18th, Mercury was also transiting the eclipse point. So again, some new information, epiphany or endeavour foreshadowing a new beginning in your life came to light. Consequently, this week’s eclipse is in the continuation of that energy, only more intense.
And to take you even further away back in time, the last time we had a similar solar eclipse in 20° of Gemini was on June 10th, 2002. So again, try remembering what main theme/change was playing out in your life that year; this eclipse will trigger a series of events and personal realisations similar (not exactly the same, though) to what you’ve experienced during that time.
Neptune’s still squaring Mercury retrograde and will also be squaring the eclipse, so whatever transpires this week will be infused with a lot of confusion. We should all be careful with false information being spread and also what we’re sharing. It won’t be until July 1st, when Mercury, in a direct motion this time, will be going over the eclipse point, that clarity will come. Mercury retrograde will bring a familiar taste to this solar eclipse’s new beginning.
This eclipse will be most significant and impactful for anyone with their Sun, Moon, Ascendant, Midheaven (MC), Descendant or Imum Coeli (IC) at 19° of Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo or Pisces (give or take 2 degrees).
It is best for all of us to take special care of our physical and psychological comfort this week. Those who are more sensitive will most likely feel heightened tension, worry, anxiety, and emotional confusion… So, make sure to take your time digesting the energy and situations that will emerge. Practice mindfulness, relaxation, listen to your favourite music, watch a good movie. These are all positive Neptunian energies that will put you in tune with what the Universe is trying to tell you through this eclipse. The mind will be foggy, don’t hold onto it too much, just wait and see, don’t over-analyse. We’re still in the eclipse portal, and our intuition is more connected to the Creator. We should all use that to improve our lives spiritually.
I’ll also be sending an exclusive horoscope to my newsletter subscribers detailing the eclipse portal’s effect on each of the 12 signs, so make sure to join my mailing list here!
- On June 11th, Mars enters Leo giving us the energy and courage to be seen, to express ourselves with ultimate freedom to the world. It will remain in this sign until July 29th.
This is great energy for the fire signs: Aries, Leo and Sagittarius, who will be feeling particularly energised to take action. Their vitality will come back after feeling muddy and lacking energy while Mars was transiting Cancer for the past 6 weeks. Just make sure not to get too frustrated with the delays you may encounter in your projects because of all the current retrograde energy.
This also an auspicious period for Libra, Gemini, Aquarius despite the lack of mental clarity due to the eclipse and Mercury retrograde. Just wait things out and think them through. Don’t make any hasty decisions.
- From June 9th until June 12th, Venus in Cancer will be sextiling Uranus in Taurus. This is easy and harmonious energy that brings opportunity, especially in love, art and money. New innovative ideas and encounters are energised and supported here as well.
Scorpio, Taurus, Pisces and Virgo should seize the opportunity as they’re the most supported signs by this aspect.
Capricorns should focus more on their emotional stability, Tauruses on their expenses, and Pisces should be careful with any home improvement and repair activities.
