Dear NightFall Astrology readers,
This week’s central theme can be summarised as “Me vs We”. On the one hand, we have three planets in Aries pushing us towards self-assertion and courage. On the other hand, we’ll be having an Aquarius stellium at the beginning of the week (including the Moon, Venus, Mars, and Saturn), asking us to consider other people’s needs, points of view, and preferences. The good news is that by looking at the full picture and adopting the right strategy (tell that to an Aries who wants to be getting ahead fast all the time!), all of us can end up with a win-win situation! Aries and Aquarius are two energies that like each other by element (fire and air) and form a harmonious sextile configuration. While Aries gives the initial impetus to start things, Aquarius innovates and builds the networks to sustain them.
With Venus and Saturn being conjunct this week, use Aries’ positive side and get into serious “Emperor” mode (major arcana card number 4 in Tarot) to get your way!
Here’s your weekly horoscope.
1. The Venus/Saturn conjunction in Aquarius:
From March 27th until March 30th (exact on March 28th), Venus will conjoin (the most potent aspect in astrology) Saturn in Aquarius. A conjunction is a 0° angle that blends the planets’ energies forming it. This one isn’t exactly the most positive blend, to say the least. We have the lesser benefic (Venus) and the bigger malefic (Saturn) joining forces, with Saturn being the strongest planet here. You get the picture: the no-nonsense mode is being activated in relationships.
This is a good time for reassessing all your relationships and significant others, including divorces, old patterns resurfacing and burning of Karma in your main associations. This energy is also excellent for long-term relationships and money-making opportunities. Positive encounters with mature people or folks you know from a past lifetime are on the table too!
This is the time of the week when the rubber meets the road (you’ve probably felt particularly frustrated between 4:11 PM on March 28th and 6: 31 AM CET on March 29th with that void of course – aka nothing will come out of the situation – Moon). Time is precious, and you don’t want to waste your life waiting for someone who “isn’t ready” and may never be!
This transit will affect most strongly Aquarius, Leo, Scorpio, and Taurus.
2. The New Moon in 12° of Aries:
Friday, April 1st, is like a bonus New Year as the first annual New Moon in Aries resets everyone’s internal compass. It’ll be happening at exactly 8:24 AM (CET) at 12° of Aries. New Moons are formed when the Sun and the Moon are conjunct; they always mark new beginnings, and this one is all about our identity, courage, goals and achievements.
What’s special about this New Moon? Well, first off, it’s happening in the very first sign of the zodiac, officially energising us to start our entire vision of ourselves and our lives anew. Second off, it will be conjunct Mercury (the messenger of the Gods) and asteroid Chiron (the wounded healer). All of this put together translates into taking a stand for ourselves, speaking up about our vulnerabilities to heal them, setting an example for others, and recommitting to living life by our own design.
Third off, apart from the abovementioned conjunctions, this New Moon won’t be making any other aspects to the rest of the planets, meaning that whatever info about your identity wounds and their healing you may be sharing, it won’t have any “ambassadors” to deliver it, which can give way to frustration. It’s like pressing gas and brakes at the same time, especially since the dispositing planet of this New Moon, Mars in Aquarius, will be getting ready to exactly conjoin Saturn next week on April 4th. Keep your calm, as on Sunday, April 3rd, you’ll be definitely starting to feel the conjunction of these two malefics’ conflictual energy.
This New Moon is all about doing some introspection (with the Sun/Mercury superior conjunction becoming exact on April 2nd) and coming up with a long-term plan and perspective for our lives. We may not be able to act it out immediately (Aries energy is very impatient), but we should do our best to have faith in our plan. It’ll be worth it with Jupiter entering Aries on May 10th-11th (it will remain there until October 28th) and bringing us those long-awaited opportunities we’ve been working so hard to get. Hold on to the Jupiterian faith and expansiveness as this New Moon’s degree reduces to a ‘3’, which is Jupiter’s number in numerology!
Look ahead to October 9th, when the corresponding Aries Full Moon will illuminate the skies. That’s the harvest date for the springtime seeds you plant now. Pro tip: Keep the focus on personal goals that benefit “me, myself and I.” (It’s not selfish, it’s self-loving—especially during Aries season!) Your personal efforts could yield the bumper crop of prosperity six months from now.
This New Moon will affect most strongly Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn. More specifically, those of you who have your Sun, Moon, Ascendant, Descendant, Midheaven, I.C. or any other important planet or point in your chart around 12° of these signs (give or take 2-3 degrees, the maximum orb being 5 degrees).
