Dancing where the Stars go Blue! Scorpio season begins! Saturn turns Direct! All Signs Collective Horoscope (October 17th-23rd)

As we wrap up Libra season this week, our relationships are still being tested. Thankfully, we’re still under the auspicious influence of last week’s Grand Air Trine, marrying our faith and reason to face even the direst straits. Even more so with the Grand Air Trine’s leading players (Sun, Venus & Mars) trining each other exactly until midweek! So fear not, love’s still in the air despite our consciousness (the Sun) and relationships taking a deep dive into the underworld (alongside a harsh reality check) with the start of Scorpio season and the “Lord of Karma” (Saturn) stationing Direct.

I know, the build-up towards eclipse season is already obvious with such an active sky, so let’s unpack this week first!

1. Sun & Venus trine Mars:

If you’ve been overlooking the obvious—like someone’s radiant spirit, say—it could hit you like a ton of bricks this Monday and Tuesday, October 17 and 18th. Cosmic co-pilots the Sun, Venus and Mars give each other a galactic glow-up as they dance together in a simpatico air trine. With the Sun and Venus in lovestruck Libra and Mars in flirtatious Gemini, these couple of days will be a lovefest! No, you shouldn’t hold back the compliments. This effusive mashup makes “Words of Affirmation” the love language du jour. Take time to notice people’s finer points, then acknowledge them for what you see. Not only will you make their day, but you’ll catch a buzz from these uplifting exchanges. And if there’s more to explore, you’ve already broken the ice.

This transit will be most favourable for Gemini, Aquarius, Libra, Aries, and Leo.

2. Sun and Venus square Pluto:

Speaking of the underworld, also on October 19th, the Sun and Venus will have an intense encounter (a challenging square) with the God of the underworld himself: Pluto, direct in Capricorn. The temptation to get into power struggles will be extremely high at this time! Love shouldn’t feel like a competition or a game with a scorecard, but as seductive Venus gets sucked into Pluto’s undertow, pettiness and mean streaks may be on full display. Lay low and let the storm clouds pass. Engaging with people when they’re “in a mood” will only escalate the drama. Thankfully, the illuminating Sun catches up to Venus on Saturday, October 22nd. As the two share their last day (of 2022) together in loving, harmonious Libra, a heartfelt apology—or a dramatic display of adoration—can do wonders to mend fences.

This transit will be most challenging for Capricorn, Libra, Aries, and Cancer.

3. New Venus cycle: Sun conjunct Venus:

On October 22nd, the planet of love, harmony, beauty, and money (Venus) will make its superior conjunction with the Sun (Cazimi) at 29° of Libra (Venus’s home sign), starting a new 8-year cycle (the last time we had a similar superior conjunction was on October 25th, 2014 at 1°48’ of Scorpio).

So, we’re ending a Venus story in our lives (think back to everything that’s unfolded in your lives since October 2014 regarding your self-worth, values, relationships, and money) and starting a new, better, more stable and harmonious one! Venus’s superior conjunction with the Sun is the moment when, in Greek mythology, Persephone descends into the underworld to join Hades and is transformed into an adult woman in all her sensuality and feminity (the archetype Aphrodite when it becomes visible on December 1st, 2022).

We’re also starting a new Era of Sun/Venus conjunctions in the sign of Libra over the next 150 years (the last time we had a long cycle of superior conjunctions in Libra was in 1867). Over the past decades, they’ve been happening in the sign of Scorpio (Venus’s sign of detriment, where she has a hard time expressing its gorgeous feminine and artistic energy). From this weekend on, we can expect many improvements in fashion, beauty, art, architecture, and music… with a more classical touch. Diplomacy, social gracefulness, peace, fairness/justice, and equality will also increase. And, of course, this set of conjunctions in Libra will bring more harmony into our relationships and finances.

On the day of the conjunction, we’ll generally feel more loved and confident, give and receive kindness, treat and be treated with respect and appreciation, and get new opportunities in love and money.

This conjunction will be most supportive of Libra, Aquarius, Gemini, Leo, and Sagittarius.

4. Mercury trine Saturn:

We enter the weekend with a more stable mind and communication as Mercury in Libra makes a harmonious trine with Saturn retrograde in Aquarius on Saturday, October 22nd. This favourable energy enhances our pragmatism, discipline and focus, opening our minds to long-term business deals and partnerships. This aspect is also suitable for short trips.

This transit will be most supportive of Aquarius, Libra, Gemini, Aries, and Sagittarius.

5. Jam-packed Sunday: Saturn stations Direct, Sun & Venus enter Scorpio:

The Sun and Venus’s dynamic duo doesn’t stop with their conjunction and square to Pluto! On Sunday, October 23rd, both heavenly bodies take a plunge into Scorpio’s sultry bordello—the Sun simmering there until November 22nd and Venus until November 16th. Just talking about your turn-ons could get motors revving. Get in touch with your eroticism through dance, sensual movement or good old-fashioned sexytime.

Secrecy and mystery are hot while the Sun and Venus blaze here, which can be a double-edged sword. Temptations may veer toward the taboo, and good sense could fly out the window in the face of a scorching-hot attraction. Find ways to get your kicks that don’t require you to break any binding relationship rules. Stuck in a holding pattern? Dive deep into emotional exploration to move past any blocks. This transformative time could open the seductive floodgates! Warning: The green-eyed monster will make regular appearances during this cycle. Leaving something to the imagination? Mais oui! Are you riling up jealousy? Don’t even THINK about going there.

And if that weren’t enough excitement for the weekend, structured Saturn wakes up from its annual retrograde this Sunday, correcting course in Aquarius, the sign of activism, teamwork and technology. As the planet of “adulting” turns direct, it’s time to put the walk behind your idealistic talk. Since the backspin began on June 4th, some of your ingenious plans may have stalled. You might need to modernise your equipment, get organised on apps or bring in a savvy project manager to map out the game plan. If a group endeavour has been on shaky ground, you can get the band back together, but don’t settle! Masterful Saturn rewards authority. Is it time to upgrade to a more experienced crew or deal with a bad apple in your barrel? Saturn in Aquarius supports community organising—both on the ground and virtually. Now’s the time to align with people and organisations who are being the change you want to see in the world.
