Dear ARTEMIS Members,
As we head into the first week of April, there are three main astrological events to keep in mind that could impact our productivity and relationships.
Firstly, with Mercury moving into Taurus for ten weeks, we have an opportunity to turn our wishes into reality by mapping out necessary steps and investing in tools and systems that can support our mission. However, with Mercury set to spin retrograde in Taurus later in the month, it’s important to get the project management piece in place and stick to our budget to avoid any financial mishaps.
Secondly, immediately after it ingresses Taurus, Mercury, the cosmic messenger, will make a challenging square with Pluto, newly in Aquarius. This tense aspect signals to be mindful of our communication, particularly with powerful individuals, as there may be negative consequences and power struggles.
Thirdly, a Full Moon in Libra on April 6th may bring about the end of toxic relationship dynamics and conflicts.
So, let’s unpack all of this step-by-step in this week’s Astro forecast, shall we?
I. Mercury enters Taurus:
As the wily planet Mercury enters Taurus on Monday, April 3rd, a ten-week-long journey begins that brings the opportunity to turn your dreams into reality. With Mercury’s help, it’s time to take the crucial first step towards achieving your goals: identifying the tools and resources you need to support your mission. This could mean streamlining your invoicing system or investing in new tools to help you work more efficiently. Whatever it is, let your imagination run wild and trust your instincts.
But that’s not all! Taurus is a tastemaker and can guide you in revamping your workstation. Maybe you need a new standing desk to help alleviate the strain on your back or an air-cleansing plant to improve your workspace’s air quality. Perhaps you crave a colourful keyboard to add excitement to your day. These may seem like indulgences, but when productivity is enjoyable, it becomes an investment in yourself.
As with any journey, there may be bumps in the road. In this case, it’s Mercury’s retrograde from April 21 to May 14. During this time, it’s important to exercise caution and plan accordingly. Avoid launching new projects or making any major changes to your system. Instead, focus on ensuring your project management system is in place and working smoothly. Stick to your budget to avoid overspending so you don’t end up burning through cash faster than you earn it.
With Mercury in Taurus, you have an opportunity to bring your vision to life. Take the leap and trust in yourself. By identifying the tools and resources you need, revamping your workstation, and exercising caution during Mercury’s retrograde, you’ll be well on your way to turning your dreams into reality. Are you ready to seize this opportunity?
Mercury’s transit through Taurus will be most supportive of Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn, Pisces, and Cancer.
Also, the retrograde period will be most challenging for the fixed signs: Taurus, Leo, Aquarius, and Scorpio.
II. Mercury squares Pluto:
From April 3rd until April 5th (exact on April 3rd), get ready for intense, direct, and revealing communication as Mercury in Taurus clashes with Pluto in Aquarius. It’s essential to be cautious and not share your big ideas with the world too quickly. Be mindful of copycats and spotlight-stealers who may try to steal your brilliant ideas. Conduct due diligence before signing on the dotted line if you’re receiving a promising offer.
The clash between Mercury and Pluto could result in mixed messages. However, don’t be discouraged if you receive a resounding “no” from a key stakeholder. Use this feedback as an opportunity to identify areas that require improvement for a stronger deliverable. Sometimes, constructive criticism can push us to grow and make positive changes in our lives.
Moreover, Mercury and Pluto’s alignment could reveal some hidden truths, secrets, or long-overdue changes you need to make. It’s essential to approach these revelations with an open mind and try not to take them personally. Remember that the person delivering the message likely has the best intentions and wants to help you improve.
So, buckle up and be prepared for some intense and honest communication today. The clash between Mercury and Pluto could expose long-hidden truths, which can be uncomfortable but ultimately liberating. Use this opportunity to reflect on your life and make the necessary changes to grow and evolve. Remember that every obstacle is an opportunity for growth and improvement.
This aspect will be most challenging for Taurus, Aquarius, Leo, and Scorpio.
III. Mercury sextiles Saturn:
Also, from April 4th until April 7th (exact on April 5th), Mercury in Taurus makes a harmonious sextile to Saturn in Pisces. When it comes to practical and structured thinking, there’s no better time than now. With a disciplined mind, you’ll be able to accomplish more than you thought possible. Your attention to detail will be heightened, allowing you to catch things you may have missed before.
This is the perfect time for hard mental work, such as business tasks that require careful planning and organising. If you’ve been considering travel for business purposes, this is also an excellent time to take action. The practical advice you receive during this period will be especially helpful, so be sure to pay close attention. Careful speech is also key during this time, as you want to ensure that you’re communicating clearly and effectively. By putting in the effort now, you’ll be setting yourself up for success in the future.
Overall, this is an excellent time to take the opportunity to manage, organise, and plan, whether it’s in your personal or professional life.
This alignment will be most supportive of Pisces, Cancer, Scorpio, Taurus, and Capricorn.
IV. Full Moon in Libra:
As the luminous Full Moon graces the sign of Libra, an auspicious opportunity for a profound shift of heart presents itself. Be prepared for a moment of clarity that illuminates your evolving values, leading you to re-evaluate your relationships and the role you play in them. This awakening may inspire you to show up differently, with newfound intention and authenticity, as you navigate your life’s complex web of connections. Embrace this powerful lunar energy and trust in the positive transformations that it brings.
The Sun and Moon are always forming an opposition (180-degree hard aspect) on a Full Moon. This one’s happening on April 6th, at exactly 6:34 AM (CET).
At this momentous time, the fiery Sun blazes through Aries, while its opposite, the luminescent Moon, rests in the harmonious sign of Libra. This celestial opposition signifies the pinnacle of dramatic intensity that characterizes the Full Moon. With the Moon reflecting the sun’s radiance at its fullest potential, we are witness to the culmination of a cycle, a moment of culmination.
As the Sun reaches 16 degrees of Aries, in the second decan of this sign. This specific area of Aries is associated with the Three of Wands tarot card, also known as the “Lord of Virtue”.
This card conveys that your integrity, moral compass, and positive influence on others are being recognised and appreciated. Your virtuous actions and principles are receiving rewards, making you a shining example for others to follow.
Although the fiery planet Mars typically rules Aries, this particular decan’s rulership is entrusted to the mighty Sun, which finds its exaltation in Aries. This position of great power and auspiciousness for the Sun accentuates its inherent radiance and vibrancy.
As the moon reaches its fullest potential, it sits opposite the radiant Sun at 16 degrees of the graceful sign of Libra, specifically in the second decan of this Cardinal Air sign.
This area of Libra is associated with the Three of Swords tarot card, one of the most poignant and challenging images in the tarot.
The Three of Swords is known as the “Lord of Sorrow”, and it depicts a decan ruled by the mighty planet Saturn, which is exalted in Libra. This astrological alignment imbues the Libran energy with a sense of prudence, moral rectitude, and a strong sense of boundaries. However, this is precisely why the Three of Swords card is so strikingly difficult, as it shows a violation of trust, a disruption of a once-solid agreement. This could manifest in a marriage or business partnership, where something deeply serious has been breached, and trust has been irrevocably broken.
This card typically signifies that reconciliation is not in the cards and that there is no grey area for compromise or negotiation. The Libran energy tends to be all or nothing, either completely embracing a relationship or disavowing it entirely. This card unequivocally reveals that a disagreement has occurred, and it is time to cut away from that which no longer serves us.
While the Three of Swords tarot card may be considered one of the most difficult images to confront, it’s important to acknowledge that this Full Moon does not necessarily represent a negative omen. Rather, it signals an awakening to a situation that feels incongruent with our values and a need to take decisive action.
This Full Moon illuminates a moment of moral resistance, a realisation that a relationship or situation is no longer aligned with our inner truth. While the decision to break ties may be challenging, it ultimately serves to create space for growth and alignment with our authentic selves.
As the Sun edges closer to Chiron, the asteroid that embodies vulnerability, healing, and the power of teaching through personal experience, we are called to embrace our sensitivity and use it as a tool for growth.
While this may trigger feelings of discomfort and emotional turmoil, this conjunction has a bright side. In fact, the Sun’s proximity to expansive Jupiter signals a time of abundance and possibility, a moment to expand our awareness and learn from our experiences.
This Full Moon is not to be feared but rather embraced as an opportunity for healing and personal evolution. By upholding our morals and taking responsibility for our actions, we can move forward with renewed purpose and a deeper sense of self-awareness. So let us embrace this moment with courage and curiosity, for it holds the potential to bring us closer to our truest selves.
Amidst the cosmic activity, Taurus has a few key players taking the stage. Mercury, the planet of communication, is teaming up with the North Node, which amplifies and brings importance to what we need to express. In the steadfast and precise sign of Taurus, we’re not mincing words or being overly dramatic. Instead, we’re delivering a clear and specific message. To add to this, Mercury forms a favourable sextile with Saturn in Pisces, allowing us to communicate with maturity and establish healthy boundaries. The stars are aligning to support us in expressing ourselves with clarity and responsibility.
Venus is also conjunct Uranus in Taurus. With Venus ruling this Full Moon in Libra, we’re faced with the realisation that our relationships and values need to be shaken up and disrupted.
It’s as if the universe is calling on us to examine our connections and determine what truly matters to us. Although this may come as a shock, there is comfort to be found in the fact that Venus is in its home sign, Taurus, where it is most comfortable and strong. This allows us to draw boundaries confidently, even if they may be sudden and sharp. So, let us welcome this disruption and use it as an opportunity to re-evaluate what we truly cherish in life.
This is also the first lunation with Pluto in Aquarius, marking a significant shift in the energy of this Full Moon. While it’s not making a multitude of aspects, it is squaring Mercury, which can prompt uncomfortable transformations. However, this aspect is not the main focus of the Full Moon, and therefore, it shouldn’t be a major concern.
Instead, this lunation aligns perfectly with the idea of letting go of relationships or situations that no longer serve us. The energy is fitting and conducive to releasing what no longer supports our growth. If you’re experiencing anything related to this during this time in your life, feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.
This Full Moon will be felt most strongly by Aries, Libra, Cancer, and Capricorn, especially if you have any significant placements around 16 degrees (give or take 1-5 degrees) of these signs.
