Slow and steady wins the race! Mars enters Taurus! Mercury enters Cancer! All Signs Collective Horoscope (July 4th-10th)

Dear NightFall Astrology readers,

Are you tired of the non-stop chatter and rush that have been going on for the past six weeks? Well, whether you’re the more “busy” or “chill” type, the next few days and weeks are calling us for a more level-headed, pragmatic and compassionate attitude. The planet of action (Mars) and the planet ruling our minds and communications (Mercury) will be entering two Yin signs, so it’s time to turn the receptive mode on! With both the Sun (our vitality and consciousness) and Mercury in Cancer, our attention will naturally turn to relaxing (maybe finally going on our summer vacation?) in nature or by the sea with family and/or friends.

Whatever your “slow down” is, this is the right period for it, at least until July 22nd, when Leo season starts, and our focus will switch to having more fun, risk-taking and creativity, alongside spending time with our children or reconnecting to our inner child!

Here’s your weekly horoscope.

1. Mercury sextiles Mars, enters Cancer, becomes invisible and squares Jupiter:

a) Mercury sextile Mars:

From July 3rd until July 6th (exact on July 4th), Mercury in Gemini/Cancer will sextile (harmonious aspect) Mars in Aries/Taurus. This energy brings improved negotiation and verbal skills and heightened agility and alertness. It’s also favourable for public speaking, well-timed actions, communication, group discussions, sales, pep talks, advertising, planning and organising things faster.

b) Mercury enters Cancer:

On Tuesday, July 5th, at exactly 8:25 AM (CET), messenger Mercury updates the global privacy policy as it wings into cosy, private Cancer for its annual retreat. Until July 19th, be discreet about what you share in whispered exchanges and on social media. The walls have ears! That said, all kinds of heartfelt conversations warm up quickly with Mercury in the sign of the nurturing Crab. Make an extra effort to listen with compassion and speak gently since people will be more sensitive than usual. Get your spaces in order, from your home to your work zone. When you have any moments to spare, prioritise your inner circle. Bonding with family and close friends is the key to your work-life balance!

Mercury’s transit through Cancer will be most beneficial for Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces, Virgo, and Taurus.

c) Mercury becomes invisible:

On Wednesday, July 6th, Mercury becomes invisible to the naked eye until October 3rd. During this time period, it will be harder to start new projects related to commerce, trading, business, media, writing, and marketing. People ruled by Mercury – Gemini or Virgo, Sun, Moon or Ascendant –  will feel less initiative and more reflective during the invisibility phase.

d) Mercury square Jupiter:

From July 8th until July 10th (exact on July 9th), Mercury in Cancer will square (challenging aspect) Jupiter in Aries. On the positive side, this energy can manifest as a more optimistic mindset, favourable commercial and business deals, and enjoying short and long-distance trips.

On the negative side, there can be a tendency for exaggeration and overestimation, intellectual arrogance, impracticality, and clashes around ideas and beliefs.

This transit will be most challenging for Aries, Libra, Cancer, and Capricorn.

2. Mars enters Taurus:

Also, on Tuesday, July 5th, at exactly 8:04 AM (CET), Mars zooms into Taurus, and cooler heads may begin to prevail (Mars is in detriment in this sign (one of its weakest positions)) —but not immediately. Ethics will be hotly debated during this cycle, which lasts until August 20th, and we are bracing for the morality police to lower their hammers on more human rights.

On a purely personal note, once Mars shifts into Taurus, you can tackle your to-do list with a clear head on your shoulders. After zooming through high-octane Aries since May 24th, you’ll have plenty of momentum to ride on. Still, it’s unwise to rush during this every other-year cycle. If you’re one of the rare souls who needs to pick up the pace, don’t break the speed limit! Be like the tortoise and win the race by methodically moving through your missions, one step at a time. Are you seeking new opportunity? Don’t rush to accept the first offer or plunk down your hard-earned cash without research. A bill may come due, and you could feel pressured to pay it. Since Mars can ratchet up stress levels, soothe anxiety by slowing down and savouring simple pleasures like art, music, and nature. If some extra funds do land in your wallet, treat yourself to a luxurious but practical splurge. Think: investment piece.

Lusty Mars in Taurus elevates your senses and whets everyone’s appetite for affection. Create “slow down” rituals to get comfortable in your own body, like rubbing oils into your skin, scheduling a massage and practising gentle movement. Hop back on the apps when you’re ready for some loving. Even if you have someone to cuddle with, you still have to set the mood. Create a relaxing environment with downtempo music, low lighting, and calming aromatherapy—and don’t forget the food and wine! Taurus is the sign of traditional courtship gestures, but with impatient Mars hitting the gas, relationships may accelerate into serious status, fast! You may be tempted to splurge on expensive gifts and upscale dates. The downside? Combative Mars in headstrong Taurus can lead to formidable fights where nobody backs down easily. When you catch yourself going down the stubbornness hole, simply tell yourself that you can’t be right all the time and tap into the energy of the other Venus-ruled sign Libra representing harmony and compromise.

Mars’ transit through Taurus will be most supportive of Capricorn, Virgo, Cancer, and Pisces. Taurus, Aquarius, Leo, and Scorpio should watch their temper!

3. Sun sextile Uranus:

From July 8th until July 12th (exact on July 9th), the Sun in Cancer will sextile (positive aspect) Uranus in Taurus. This energy will awaken in us the desire to break from routine and see things from a fresh angle. We may also get flashes of intuitive insight. The aspect is favourable for working on a group project, making easy changes and taking small risks, and anything to do with media and the internet.

This transit will be most beneficial for Taurus, Capricorn, Virgo, Cancer, and Pisces.
