Strategise before you strike! Mars square Neptune! Mercury goes retrograde! All Signs Collective Horoscope (January 10th-16th)

Have you been feeling Venus’s energy as Pallas Athena: the Goddess of wisdom, justice, strategy and righteous war? It sure is visible in the sky and worldwide, with people waking up to misleading information about the pandemic and consequently fighting for their rights and freedoms. This also translates into our own relationships, filling us with a feeling of a rebirth of our true selves and seeing what we truly value.

The warrior energy fighting for truth and justice is enhanced this week with relentless Mars in Sagittarius making a challenging square to deceitful and nebulous Neptune in Pisces. This energy fires us up, but remember to strategise before striking with Mercury stationing retrograde on Friday and the Sun making its annual conjunction with detective and esoteric Pluto.

Here’s your weekly horoscope.

• From January 10th until January 14th, our inspiration to take action and jump on opportunities or resolve difficult situations is challenged by the Neptunian fog. On the one hand, we’ll be having a harmonious sextile between the Sun in Capricorn (exact on January 10th-11th) and Neptune in Pisces. On the other hand, this latter one will also be squared (challenging aspect) by Mars in Sagittarius. The key question that we should be asking ourselves is: there’s wisdom in waiting, but how long is too long? The right balance has to be stricken between pondering an opportunity and pouncing on it, which won’t be easy. Each of us has to use our discernment, Venus as a Morning Star (Pallas Athena) will help us with that, and feisty Mars will give us the energy to take the corresponding action.

While it’s unwise to leap when you’re riding this bizarre roller coaster, squares can be helpful for getting you unstuck. As this cosmic kerfuffle pushes you in new directions, open your mind to fresh approaches. Know that the early part of the workweek could be filled with stops and starts. Super-frustrating, but don’t bail on any important missions. Use this as an opportunity to fine-tune your processes. Should you dial up the empathy and creativity…or detach in the name of productivity? Adjust as needed so you can justify both the end and the means.

This mixed energy will be felt most intensely by Pisces, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Gemini. They should avoid acting impulsively. 

Cancer, Scorpio, Taurus and Capricorn have a golden opportunity to get things going in their personal and professional endeavours.

Aries and Leo will have the opportunity to cut through illusions and secrets and get to the right solutions.

• On January 14th, Mercury will station retrograde at 11° of Aquarius, it will re-enter Capricorn on January 25th-26th (depending on your time zone), and will turn direct in the same sign on February 3rd-4th (depending on your time zone again). When a planet slips into retrograde from direct motion, it’s kind of like fading to black after you’ve been giving your pre-surgery IV. Everything feels fuzzy, and you might just say some crazy s*** that you pray no one puts on YouTube (viral click-bait though it would probably be). Mercury, the planet ruling our thoughts, communication, learning and skills, immediate environment, neighbours and siblings, will be stationary from January 13th until January 15th. It’ll also be making an exact square to revolutionary and unpredictable Uranus stationary in Taurus. That’s when the confusion and probability of miscommunication and misunderstandings alongside shocking information surfacing or sudden breakthroughs will be at their peak, so be careful with any information you share and receive.

With Mercury turning retrograde, we’ll be ending up with 2 fast/personal planets pushing us to review our relationship and material values alongside our perspective and communication. This isn’t a good period for getting into new relationships, getting married, signing new contracts, buying new electronic/high-tech devices and luxury items, making new investments, starting a new course, and publishing new articles and/or books. However, this is an excellent period for reviewing, reevaluating or fixing any project, situation or device falling under one of these areas.

Throughout all of 2022, Mercury will be starting its retrograde in an air sign and ending it in an earth sign; this calls us to reexamine our (innovative) ideas and find better and more pragmatic ways to execute them. Quash any notions that starting 2022 means crashing out of the gates at full speed. Give yourself a little breathing room to really figure out what projects are worth taking on.

This Mercury retrograde will be most challenging for Aquarius, Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Capricorn, Cancer, Aries, and Libra. 

Gemini and Virgo should make the best of this time to fine-tune their long-distance travel plans, belief systems, higher education, health, shared resources, everyday routine, creativity, and romance. 

• On January 16th, the illuminating Sun makes its annual conjunction to shadowy Pluto in Capricorn. Talk about hierarchal ego clashes! Power struggles might erupt over the weekend—as control issues flare! Brace yourself. The Sun’s bright beams may reveal secrets that have been locked away in the chamber. Got something to confess? Don’t wait for the local busybody to out you. On a positive note, the Sun-Pluto conjunction can prompt some deep and soulful awakenings, especially regarding your long-term goals and life purpose.

On a more mundane level, this conjunction can bring out hidden information and secrets about powerful corporate and governmental leaders around the world.

This conjunction will be most impactful on Capricorn, Libra, Aries, and Cancer.
