Relationship reevaluation time! Venus square Mars! Mercury & Jupiter retrograde oppose each other! All Signs Collective Horoscope (September 12th-18th)

Dear NightFall Astrology readers,

Is a relationship veering off course? With Mercury retrograde in Libra all week, this is THE moment to recalibrate any connections that are slipping off balance. The push-pull between our verbal punch and our urge for harmony and diplomacy will be very accentuated by the end of the week with the planet of assertion and aggression, Mars, and the planet of love and harmony, Venus, butting heads in a challenging square. All of which could be blown up out of proportion by rehashing some situation from 2 weeks ago thanks to the second opposition between Mercury and Jupiter. Of course, there’s always a constructive way to work with these energies by focusing on pragmatic solutions and dialogue.

Here’s your weekly horoscope.

1. The Venus/Mars square & the Sun/Neptune opposition:

a) Venus square Mars:

From September 14th until September 19th (exact on September 16th), the challenging dust-up between the cosmic lovebirds (Venus and Mars) could bring a sharp wake-up call. With Venus in pragmatic Virgo, do your level best to focus on solutions rather than pointing out your love interest’s “mistakes.” That will be extra challenging, though! As Mars gallops in on Gemini’s game-playing steed, the most basic conversation can turn into a mind-boggling debate. While this is certainly not the time to sweep issues under the rug, put the triggering ones in the parking lot until this temperamental transit passes in a couple of days. Even if you DO lay all your cards on the table, you’re likely to be misunderstood. Remember: Trouble in paradise doesn’t have to mean the end of the fairy tale. If you’ve been stuck in a holding pattern, the dynamic Mars/Venus square motivates change. And it can be as simple as planning a weekend day trip instead of using the whole day for chores.

b) Sun opposing Neptune:

From September 15th until September 18th (exact on September 16th), the Sun in Virgo will make its annual opposition to Neptune retrograde in Pisces. This challenging aspect can manifest as a distorted perception of reality, lack of motivation and drive, fatigue and exhaustion, losing sight of our goals, vulnerability to outside influences, deception, and financial losses.

However, this transit can be an excellent time for artistic activities, relaxation, and spiritual practices.

These transits will be most difficult for Gemini, Virgo, Pisces, and Sagittarius.

2. The opposition between Mercury and Jupiter retrograde & the Sun/Pluto trine:

a) The Mercury/Jupiter opposition:

From September 17th until September 21st, Messenger Mercury hits an opposition to candid Jupiter that becomes exact on Sunday, September 18th, pushing the envelope of what is considered “appropriate” communication. What were you carrying on about during the first of these planetary face-offs on (or near) September 2nd? That topic could be a hot one again, but it comes with a heat advisory warning! Thanks to Mercury being retrograde in diplomatic Libra this time, the gloves are off. And with Jupiter (also retrograde) in combative Aries, you might deliver a knockout punch if you make your point with forceful aggression. While that might feel like a victory, don’t start pouring the champagne yet. You’ll have to face the same music on October 12th when these planets duel again. A word to the wise: Don’t provoke any battles if you aren’t sure that you can finish the fight with dignity.

b) The Sun/Pluto trine:

Also, during the same period, the Sun in Virgo will trine (harmonious aspect) Pluto retrograde in Capricorn, bringing another question to ponder this Sunday: How much is too much? Relying on gut checks and public consensus won’t be the best yardstick as the Virgo Sun dances into a mystifying formation with secretive Pluto. Better break out the measuring cups and read over those Google analytics reports. The benefit of this muddling mashup is that it allows you to tune in to the present moment powerfully. Pause from strategic planning and postpone those Zooms. Downloads could come while you retreat from the action and draw from a deep well of inspiration within your own psyche. An esoteric notion might make more sense than you think, enhancing your understanding of self-empowerment.

These transits will be felt most intensely by Aries, Capricorn, Libra, and Cancer.
